Jaguar has officially set the bar with any vehicle premiere’s with an official Guinness World Record title for their latest E-Pace SUV. The compact performance SUV leapt into the record books with a 15.3-metre-long jump with a 270-degree corkscrew ‘barrel-roll’.
Without a doubt, this stunt has proved the agility, precision and performance of Jaguar’s E-Pace, as well as the extreme durability tests which lasted 25 months and four continents. The exterior design of Jaguar’s all-new compact SUV is one that takes inspiration from the F-Type sports car, characterised by the distinctive Jaguar grille, muscular proportions, short overhands and powerful haunches. The fast sweeping roofline and side window graphic also exudes the brand’s sports car DNA.
Behind the wheel of the E-Pace record setting roll was stunt driver Terry Grant, who completed stunts on many film sets and holds an impressive 21 Guinness World Record titles. “As far as I am aware, no production car has ever cleanly completed a bona-fide barrel roll and therefore it has always been an ambition of mine to perform one ever since I was a boy. After driving the Jaguar F-Pace in the record-braking loop-the-loop, it has been amazing to help launch the next chapter of the Pace family in an even more dramatic dynamic feat,” Terry said.

In brief, the new E-Pace is connected, intelligent, agile and responsive. Inside, the 10-inch touchscreen comes standard and allows owners to connect to their favourite apps including Spotify. The brand’s InControl system allows the owner to keep the vehicle secure by tracking it on their smartphone and automatically alerts emergency services in an accident, or check for fuel levels and mileage remotely via a smartphone or smartwatch. Customers can warm up the car, or precondition it remotely using InControl.
Underneath, the E-Pace features the brand’s first Active Driveline all-wheel-drive that combines phenomenal traction with Jaguar’s unmistakable rear-wheel-drive character. The system’s torque-biasing capability delivers optimal stability, dynamics and fuel efficiency in all conditions and weather.
Add on safety and driver assistance technologies, convenience, multimedia and Activity Key that secures the vehicle during outdoor activities, the E-Pace marks another milestone for the company.
