Singaporeans can now buy the third-generation Perodua Myvi. Launched by Perocom Auto Pte Ltd, the sole authorised dealer for Perodua in Singapore, there are two variants available, the 1.3 X and 1.5 H both in automatic transmission and priced at S$ 64,800 and S$ 69,800 respectively, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax and Certificate of Entitlement (COE).
Officially launched in Malaysia in November 2017, the third-generation Perodua Myvi is the brand’s most sophisticated model to date, with improvements in technology, quality and fuel efficiency in an all-new upper body design that has been independently done in-house.
Since then, over 110,000 units have been sold in Malaysia and exports to Indonesia have also commenced, with the model being badged as a Daihatsu Sirion. “The current-generation Myvi’s foray into Singapore is significant in terms of brand presence despite the high barriers for entry into this mature market. This also marks the model’s first export destination under the Perodua brand,” Perodua President and CEO Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.
The number of new cars registered in Singapore vary from year to year, from 87,504 in 2016, 91,922 in 2017 and 80,281 in 2018, according to Land Transport Authority’s statistics.
